Battles for the Armory 2008
3 Day Event - October 31st, November 1st and 2nd, Tallassee, Alabama
Visit the Heart of Dixie for a Southern fun-filled week-end at the family friendliest event in the South. The 11th annual "Battles for the Armory" will begin on October 31st with our unique hands-on (for the children) school day activities. Battles on Sat. and Sun at 2:00PM, Period Ball on Saturday evening featuring St. Andrews String Band.
Historic Gibson's View Plantation provides expansive open fields well
suited to cavalry, with camping areas that have piped water and shower
facilities. Modern camping available with water, but no hook-ups.
If the Lord provides water, we will provide hay for cavalry horses.
We will make every effort to have hay available if possible. As always
firewood will be plentiful and there will be ample powder rations
to the first 10 full-scale guns registered before Oct.10th.
Registration fees for reenactors have been dropped this year. Registration
free to all school day participants. Registration packets can be downloaded
here. Sutler's by invitation or pre-arrangement only, for information
